General information only
Everything published on NextGeoTools — tool outputs, articles, tutorials and documentation — is provided for general information and education. It is not professional advice of any kind, including surveying, engineering, legal, navigational or financial advice.
Accuracy of calculations
Our tools implement well-known geospatial formulas, such as the haversine formula for distances, transverse Mercator mathematics for UTM conversion, and standard solar-position algorithms for sunrise and sunset. These formulas model the Earth as an ellipsoid or sphere, which is an approximation of the real planet. Small differences from professional survey equipment, GNSS receivers or official publications are normal and expected.
Not for safety-critical use
Do not rely solely on NextGeoTools outputs for navigation at sea or in the air, for defining property boundaries, for construction layout, or for any decision where an error could cause injury, financial loss or legal consequences. Always cross-check with authoritative sources and qualified professionals: licensed surveyors for boundaries, official charts for marine and aviation navigation, and certified instruments for precision work.
Coordinates you enter
Results are only as good as the inputs. A single misplaced decimal degree can move a point by many kilometres, so double-check the coordinates you type, especially the sign of longitudes west of Greenwich and latitudes south of the equator.
External data
Where articles reference third-party datasets, standards or services, we aim for accuracy at the time of writing, but external resources change. Verify critical details against the primary source before acting on them.
No warranties
The site and its tools are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
